ClearToken has made strong progress in the start to Q2, and we are proud to share several exciting announcements in this update.

ClearToken x A&O Shearman Fuse

We are very pleased to announce that ClearToken has been awarded a place to participate in this year’s A&O Shearman Fuse incubator. Fuse is a highly competitive innovation incubator specialising in LegalTech and digital assets. ClearToken is proud to have been selected for the final 10 from 80 key client nominations for the digital assets stream.

Growth of digital assets that will drive the future for finance is not just about new technology and cryptocurrencies; realizing potential depends upon the legal and regulatory structures that must evolve to support and legitimise new opportunities. Hence, ClearToken’s relocation to the Fuse space at A&O Shearman’s London headquarters at Spitalfields means it is perfectly placed to benefit from the support that Fuse provides. Equally, we look forward to a deep knowledge exchange about digital assets with A&O Shearman’s lawyers and clients in support of our common goal of influencing this quickly evolving space.

Roadmap Progress

• Technology
  Thanks to the initial drop of our core platform being delivered ahead of schedule by our Technology providers, we are on target to begin testing by the end of Q2.
• Partners
  We have been working closely with several partners, including exchanges, trading firms and custodians, to define the initial offering for our DVP Settlement System targeted for Q4 Production Go Live subject to regulatory approvals. Please reach out to get involved.
• Regulatory
  We continue to work with UK regulators making draft submissions to support our application for necessary approvals.

• Nasdaq: Technology of the Future 2024 | Barcelona | 27-29 May
  Ben will be a panellist at Nasdaq's upcoming conference in Barcelona, 27-29 May. Moderated by Gerard Smith, Head of Post-trade Product Strategy at Nasdaq, the "Digital Assets Driving Sustainable Adoption" session (28th at 14:00) promises to be a valuable discussion about the necessity of institutional-grade systems in the maturing digital assets landscape.
• Consensus by CoinDesk | Austin, TX | 29-31 May
  Eric Dorré (COO) and Ben are attending Coindesk's conference. If you're in town, please reach out to Eric and/or Ben so we can meet up.
• FIA IDX | London | 17-19 June
  Niki will be speaking in a debate on the Future of the City of London at the FIA IDX Conference and at the Plato Partnership MI3 Conference, also in June.

Our Chair, Niki Beattie, recently attended and spoke at several events all related to improving digital asset infrastructure:

• A Building of a Financial System of the 21st Century Symposium | Washington, DC
  Organised by Harvard’s Program on International Financial Systems (PIFS) with key policy makers, regulators and leaders of financial institutions from EU, UK and US financial institutions.
• FT Digital and Crypto Assets Summit | London
  She joined a panel to talk about the importance of improving digital asset financial infrastructure to help manage risk and increase capital efficiencies post the influx of institutional capital into the newly created Bitcoin ETFs.
• WBR DigiAssets Conference | London
  Niki moderated a panel on "Improving Digital Market Infrastructure: how the industry is evolving and adapting to increase efficiency".
• FCA Crypto Policy Event | London
  The last of a series of collaborations between the FCA and the industry to help inform policy making in the crypto industry, including a look at:
  1. operational resilience
  2. access location, participation and location
  3. order matching and trade execution
  4. settlement and risk management
  5. best execution and best interest, and,
  6. conflicts of interest
